Event Description: Theatre at the Waterfront! Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center Black Box. Red Stage Theatre Company presents J.B. by Archibald MacLeish. Rooted in the biblical book of Job, J.B. both respects and transcends religion to be a fresh, smartly theatrical and very moving examination of faith in the face of human suffering. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award in 1959, this surprising and rarely produced verse play delves deep into many of the unanswered questions of our existence in a world where justice may be an illusion and the inexplicable, healing power of love can be all too easily forgotten.
